Check Out Anthony Parasole's All-Jeff Mills Mix for Beats in Space
- Words: Derek Opperman
Over the years, Tim Sweeney's Beats in Space WNYU radio program has set a high mark for mixes; nearly every major figure in underground dance music has appeared on the program. That being said, last Tuesday's show with Anthony Parasole offered something special. The long-time New Yorker, and head of the techno-leaning The Corner imprint, played a set comprised solely of looped-up, space-age tracks from pioneering producer/DJ Jeff Mills. Parasole's mix was so good that even Victor from Washington Heights (a cranky regular caller to the show) gave it his approval.
There's no tracklisting for the hour-long mix, but Parasole's full set can be heard below. In addition, L.I.E.S. boss Ron Morelli also delivered a set for the episode, which has been included below as well.
