Fresh off a North American and European tour, Kompakt mainstay Gui Boratto paid a visit to WNYU last night to perform a super suave live set for Beats in Space. During the course of the hour-long performance, Boratto begins in a more minimalist vein before opening up to lighter and more playful grooves that are intermittently cut by colder spurts of mechanical techno beats.

The set concludes with a brief interview between Boratto and BIS host Tim Sweeney, which finds the Brazilian producer/DJ discussing forthcoming music, his new D.O.C. label, and a bit about his production process. Gui Boratto’s wide-ranging live set for Beats in Space can be streamed and downloaded in full below.
