After taking a brief hiatus in 2013, Kompakt‘s flagship compilation series, Total, is set to return this summer with a double-disc collection featuring tracks from the likes of Gui Boratto, Dauwd, The Field, John Tejada, Maceo Plex, COMA, and others. Comprised of tracks pulled from recent Kompakt releases as well as a handful of exclusive new productions, the forthcoming Total 14 comp is said to be “one of the most riveting installments in the series yet,” with the longstanding Cologne label bringing together 25 tracks for the occasion. Total 14‘s six exclusive tracks will come from Kompakt regulars Superpitcher, Saschienne, Weval, Thomas/Mayer, Voigt & Voigt, The Modernist, and Ju?rgen Paape, and in addition to appearing on the CD version of the record, they will also be included on a six-track vinyl edition of Total 14.
