Matrixxman (a.k.a. Charles McCloud Duff) has been somewhat of a fixture on XLR8R pages of late; the San Francisco-based producer recently contributed an exclusive mix for our podcast series, and gained further momentum with releases on Spectral Sound and Ultramajic. Now, the Soo Wavey co-head has detailed another upcoming EP, set to debut next week on Pleasurekraft’s Kraftek label. The Spell showcases his aptitude for crafting drum-machine-driven club tracks, and its lead cut, streaming below, delivers an effective slice of cleanly engineered, techno-flavored house music.

The Spell is officially due to arrive on June 30 and features recent Hotflush contributor Phil Kieran on a remix of the title track.
