Check Out a New Remix from Doc Daneeka
- Words: Kat Leinhart
Over the past few years, UK-born, Paris-based producer Doc Daneeka has gradually reinvented himself. While the Ten Thousand Yen label head was once known for crafting bass-heavy, rhythmic club tools, these days he's turning out melodic, hook-driven house, as seen on his anthemic "Walk On In" single from last year. More recently, his Hi-Five feature for XLR8R and hammering "Treptow" single for Numbers showcased the Welsh beatmaker's newfound affinity for infectious piano lines, a love which is also evident in his new remix for Manchester-born producer TCTS. In his rework of "Games," Daneeka shores up the leading vocals of K Stewart with a simple drum-machine rhythm and pop-influenced piano motif. TCTS' new EP is due out via MTA on August 10, with Daneeka's remix, which can be heard in full below, included in the package.
