Heading into its 13th edition, the annual Nuits Sonores festival will return to Lyon, France in the spring. This year, the five-day festival will culminate in a weekend of programming curated by Barcelona’s John Talabot, UK producer Jamie xx, and German techno artist Ben Klock, who will each select a day’s worth of events.

Beginning on Thursday, May 14, Klock will welcome artists such as Shackleton and the most recent XLR8R podcast contributor Kowton, jungle veteran Goldie, and an interpretation of Steve Reich’s iconic Music for 18 Musicians by the Links Ensemble. On Friday, Talabot will enlist DJ sets from the likes of Joy Orbison, Barnt, and recent Bubblin’ Up artist Lena Willikens. Finally, Saturday will see Jamie xx bring in Floating Points, a B2B set from Hivern Discs’ Mattis With and NTS radio host Jon Rust, and a live set from ’70s jazz ensemble Idris Ackamoor and the Pyramids. Each of the three curators will also play their own DJ sets on their respective days. Nuits Sonores will be held from May 13 to 17; more information can be found here, while the remainder of the line-up will be shared on February 11. (via Resident Advisor)
