Chilean-born, now Germany-based man of many talents Matias Aguayo has been tapped to rework “Condor,” a cut from French outfit Turzi‘s forthcoming C LP for the Record Makers label. Originally a five-minute jaunt through futuristic psych territory, Aguayo reshapes “Condor” into an altogether bouncier affair, lacing the track with infectious layers of percussion while taming the wild sonic spurts of Turzi’s original into more controlled rises in momentum (which are further enhanced by the string of woozy synth lines that appear in the production’s second half).

Aguayo’s downright fun remix of “Condor” can be streamed in full below before the French group’s C LP (the third in a trilogy of full-length releases) sees its official release on March 16. Aguayo’s refix will be available via on Turzi’s Condor EP—alongside the original track and an additional remix—out on February 16 via Record Makers.
