Ascendant Los Angeles-based vocalist and Fade to Mind affiliate Kelela has quickly followed up news of the forthcoming deluxe edition of her Cut 4 Me mixtape with details of a new EP, Hallucinogen. The upcoming six-track effort is said to be made up of tracks originally recorded for Kelela’s imminent debut LP, but which ultimately “found a natural synergy with one another.” Furthermore, the record is said to explore “the light and darkness of love and sexuality,” with each song representing different stages in a relationship.

Leading the EP will be “A Message,” a track produced by Arca which can be heard in full now via the video below. Kelela’s Hallucinogen EP is set to drop on May 5, with her proper debut solo album slated follow this fall.
