Detroit’s own DJ Soko is done preparing for the release of his next album, Domino Effect, and the collection will be released on vinyl on August 21 via the online record store Fat Beats, and digitally on Soko’s own Bandcamp page.

DJ Soko is still relatively young, but the artist has already found unique ways to pair up with the influences of his craft. Soko’s skills and willingness to pair MCs with the perfect production for them to shine on is never clearer than on his debut project. The album was entirely curated by DJ Soko, featuring his signature scratches and noteworthy MCs and producer pairings including Guilty Simpson, Apollo Brown, Finale, Noveliss—from Clear Soul Forces—and Journalist 103. The single “Kyle Reese” was produced by Seattle’s own Def Dee, and features Simpson‘s signature gritty Michigan sound.
