Following on from last year’s “We Got The Box/Rattle” two-side, Cowboy Rhythmbox will return to Erol Alkan’s Phantasy Sound with the Fantasma EP.

Filled full of late-night sleeze, the title track takes its cues from “early sample fetishists Yello,” with industrial-tinged drums, gritty samples and a chunky, rolling bassline providing the driving force of the track for seven minutes of machine-like funk. “The Natives Are Having Us For Dinner Tonight” and “Latin Sex Change” close out the brilliant EP in typically mechanical style.
