Paul Woolford Mixes Through Decades

Perhaps best known for his high-profile remixes, the UK's Paul Woolford's latest project is a two-part mix that runs the gamut of electronic music's many sounds and genres. Aiming to create "a lasting document of my approach to music," the UK producer's eclectic Platform mix includes everything from Courtney Tidwell and Tom Taylor to Robert Hood and Suburban Knight, proving that a true sound technician never limits himself to one approach or genre. Friendly Fires and Holy Ghost! Cover Each Other on New 12"

Friendly Fires and Holy Ghost! first came up with the plan to cover each other's tracks in Corsica last summer, but only after several months has the plan come to fruition. Holy Ghost! have their contemporary classic "Hold On" covered, while Friendly Fires' "On Board" is given a nice re-work which includes some of the last drumming that the legendary Jerry Fuchs ever recorded. Massive Attack to Tour US for First Time in Four Years

The last time UK trip-hop forefathers Massive Attack made it to the US, the tour followed on the heels of a contractually obliged compilation of greatest hits and unreleased materials put out in 2006. Now, with the release of Heligoland, their first studio album in seven years, Robert Del Naja and Grant Marshall are making it back to North America in May for a brief stint of live performances.
