Thoughts on Portland style from some of the city’s good-lookers.

Where do you get most of your clothes?
Generally at secondhand places, but American Apparel cuts also work well for me.
Is there a Portland look?
There's such an amalgam of style influence, coupled with a rather live-and-let-live attitude. A visiting friend of mine pointed out a kind of European feel in the ubiquity of active lifestyles and the consideration that most people give to their look.

From family and friends… that was our theme for this picture.

Casual and practical–everyone has a hoodie and messy hair.

I make clothes all day long for other people and by the end of the day it’s hard to think about making clothes for myself! I do keep some of my samples and wear them, otherwise I love second-hand shopping. My favorite boutique in Portland is called Una in Southeast Portland. Liza. When I have money I love to get clothes from this store by my house called Una. Beautiful stuff. Other than that, thrift stores. House on Hawthorne has a ton of old clothes there now. Corrina
Is there a Portland look?
No one looks too dressed up–it’s a casual city, but edgy. Liza There isn't a Portland look, there's just too much going on now, and too many groups and niches of people to have a particular look. Corrina

Where do you get most of your clothes?
Rad Summer, the awesome shop that my friend Honey Owens works at with her friends. They have the best gear in town. Jimi, one of our drummers, is wearing a shirt from there that Honey traded me for two White Fang CDs. Erik
From friends. I didn't buy any of the clothes I was wearing that day. Kyle
Is there a Portland look?
There's no look, everyone's kind of got their own thing going on. Sometimes there's pockets of, like, Day-Glo/surfer vibes, lots of weird layering, and lots of awesome shoes. Erik

Where do you get most of your clothes?
We are all huge vintage and thrift store shoppers. We love going into new towns on tour and finding small thrift stores. About 75% of my closet is used.
Is there a Portland look?
I'd say vintage is definitely the style. Lots of thin, worn-out t-shirts, v-necks, stuff like that. But again, Portland is very eclectic and changes with the seasons. My favorite is fall. Lots of great fashion watching.
