XLR8R Presents Speedy J

Jochem Paap, a.k.a. Speedy J, delivers the next installment of the XLR8R Podcast, an hour-long ride through pure, unadulterated techno territory in which Paap's skills on the mixing board put just about every other DJ on the planet to shame. It's hardly surprising, since he's been honing his craft for over 15 years, dabbling in all forms of the genre, from hardcore to minimal. On this mix, he brings together cuts from Radioslave, Loco Dice, The Mod Wheel (a.k.a. Tom Middleton), Marco Carola, and a few of his own tracks. If you're not dancing the living room carpet to shreds by the end of this mix, something is truly wrong.

I think the music buying public has to change not the artists..their are some good artists out there..but the people who are buying music are younger and younger and they just dont know quality

I think artists and fans are setting their standards 2 low. We as fans should appreciate the good in Hip-Hop and encourage it, rather than take what’s new and shove it down our throats just cuz that’s what’s there at the moment. Artists should do the same. Quit givin’ out “new ****” and start takin’ time 2 make quality music. People actually consider G-Unit 2 be one of the greatest out now. If we keep letting this nonsense get forced onto us and not take time 2 search 4 the good, this is what’s gonna happen. There’s no way 4 any of the youth today 2 find quality music, cuz what they’re introduced 2 ARE the 50 Cents, the Nellys, etc. Now I’m not saying a big sudden change is gonna happen anytime soon, but at least that should be enuf of a reason 2 make the effort 2 search 4 the good in the game…rather than take in whatever’s thrown 2 us.

put this in ya yahoo seach and see what comes up!!!!!

great summary of this mix. as you pointed out
a) speedy j's mixing skills are second to none, and
b) if you are not moving or thinking about doing so by 1:02:22 or thereabouts (having listened to this thing in its entirety) you might be hearing impaired.
Cheers J
