For this very special edition of the XLR8R Podcast Exclusive Mix Series, we wrangled up Los Angeles-based Glitch Mob for a glimpse at the new world of electro-infused hip-hop. Grabbing unreleased and forthcoming tracks from the likes of edIT, Boreta, Ooah, and Kraddy, these mobsters have turned out an intricately woven, chopped-up glitch haven on this bangin' mix.

Podcast 16: Magnum 38

Oliver “Magnum 38” Greschke is punk. The Berlin-based web programmer by day, gnarly producer by night, is so punk that he went from Germany’s drum and bass hotbed into the open arms of some of the most chopped-up, evil electro-noise imaginable. Recording for T. Raumschmiere’s Shitkatapult imprint, this programmer may not be as celebrated as his labelboss (yet), but with compositions this deadly, he’s well on his way. Read more »

Podcast 14: Kitty-Yo

Berlin-based label Kitty-Yo's foray into electronic music began in 1994, with a few 7" singles put out by founder Raik Hoelzel. For this exclusive XLR8R mix, Mochipet pulls out a gang of unreleased heaters, a bunch of Modeselektor and Spank Rock mash-ups, and Metallica! We’re thrilled.

Podcast 12: Håkan Lidbo

Shitkatapult’s noise-tech guru, Håkan Lidbo, lays down a live mix of exclusive, unreleased tracks inspired by late nights and the hazy days that follow. He was also kind enough to throw in “Ravers Nation,” “Call For Islam,” and a few other tracks from his newest Shitkatapult release, Dunka Dunka. How one man transforms the sounds of all things hellish into dancefloor bangers remains a mystery, but cease with the analysis and enjoy this mix of dark thumps from the underworld.
