Returning to Room One this June is one of the most critical techno artists to come out of Detroit (and history, no less) Carl Craig. Founder of the seminal imprint Planet E, Carl Craig’s productions are consistently future forward and deeply transcendent, he’s that rare breed of artist who still, after over 20 years of releasing music, remains vital. Marquis Hawkes will also be in tow to mark the release of his debut LP for our sister label Houndstooth, Social Housing, echoing the sentiments of the LP which sets out to make a case for the benefits of a secure and community led home environment and non profit driven existence he will be bringing his positive house sheen to the floor. Plus, keep your eyes out for a further announcement in the coming weeks, we still have a special guest to announce for this show.

Room Two then sees resident Terry Francis set up the night with his tough edged house cuts as we also look forward to Ternesc boss Blawan coming to Room Two for the first time this year. One of the most promising talents to come out of the UK this decade, his sound is powered with reels of frenetic force, drawing from the edgier corners of the techno fold. Completing the bill comes Berlin based producer Ancient Methods, renowned for his industrialised funk and thick, layered gravel tones he’ll be making a highly anticipated debut in our EC1 located basement space.
