As with all fine things, it comes down to taste. Taste is something dj/producer Nutritious embodies and shares graciously while he’s stunning dancefloors at the world’s most divine parties, arousing waves of energetic response and delivering awe inspiring performances. Whether performing at the Whitney Museum of Art, Ultra Music Festival, Jam Cruise, Bounce Festival, Cielo, ESL, Ace Hotel, NYFW or Mighty, Nutritious continues to set himself apart, always on the search to provide audiences with the perfect soundtrack for any experience - from the underground to the penthouse.
Drawing from a background in jazz improvisation, he plays 3-4 CDJ 2000 turntables and a DJM 900 as live instruments, manipulating music and tone, remixing and re-editing on the spot, often blurring the line between organic and electronic. His exclusive mixes chill among W Hotels international "on-demand" and his shows broadcast on Viva Radio across 168 American Apparel outlets worldwide. With a handful of remixes and originals out on Worship, Nurvous and his own imprint SpinSpinNYC all garnering great reviews from the likes of DJ Times, Magnetic Magazine, URB, even Huffington Post, Nutritious is set to release his debut album this year. Several of the songs already score the soundtracks of two feature films: #Lucky Number starring Method Man and Before We Were Kings starring Moby, Sander Kleinenberg, Wolfgang Gartner and dj Shiftee. Nutritious makes appearance in both films as well.
While we look forward to his output in 2016, one thing is certain, Nutritious is changing the landscape of American house music, delivering intense performances and a top quality new sound. Through a sensible use of groove and energetic blends, Nutritious moves your body, frees your mind...nourishes your soul.
Deep Space, is an adventure into future dub, spacey vibes, and abstract grooves featuring resident DJ François K. live on the mixing board with special guests.
Since the party’s launch in 2003, Deep Space has featured a who’s who of well known and then emerging artists from around the world representing a stunning array of musical styles that Deep Space is known for integrating into its open minded aesthetic. From dubstep pioneers such as Mala, Kode9 and Digital Mystikz, to house, techno & disco icons such as Giorgio Moroder, Dimitri from Paris, Theo Parrish, Rhythm & Sound, Ron Trent, Carl Craig, Scuba, Joe Claussell, Derrick May, to cutting edge producers and tastemakers such as Gilles Peterson, Jamie xx, Mary Anne Hobbs, Mr. Scruff, DJ Spooky and dub legends such as Adrian Sherwood with Pinch, Mad Professor, Mutabaruka and U-Roy, and Brazilian icons Otto with Carlinhos Brown and plenty of live musical and dance performers, Deep Space continues to be a magnet for attracting many of electronic dance music’s most innovative artists. Almost all of the guest artists who play at Deep Space create truly one-of-kind, crate-digging "Deep Space sets."
