After a four-year old activity, Harmonized is more than ever determined to rise awareness around modern electronic music’s subjects and everything concerning them: both research and experimentation, yet knowledge and understanding of past evolution too. FAT FAT FAT Festival is an idea born from the exact ambition to demolish each cliché, obsolete and very restrictive by now, that simplifies more than thirty years of avant guard music in something not culturally relevant.
Therefore the artistic choices made were aimed to the infringement of those barriers: house, soul, funky, jazz and the entire black music. Music and sound which have vigorous roots in human history, capable of weaving a narration particularly conscious about the past and at the same time draw attention to its cultural progress and collective influences. The journey starts from Detroit with two absolute icons as Theo Parrish and Marcellus Pittman and will end up in Japan with Soichi Terada, who will perform live for the first time in Italy, since his carrier started twenty years ago. Half-way through some of the most influential characters of international music, such as Motor City Drum Ensemble, the Australian Francis Inferno Orchestra and the two German Max Graef and Glenn Astro, representatives of a new way to conceive music which has distinguished a specific niche of artists in Europe for years. And then a much appreciated hint of Italian soul: Volcov (one of the most important exponents of ground breaking music in our country, largely praised worldwide), G-Amp (key figure of Italian electronic scenario) and Harmonized Soundsystem, resident deejays of the homonym organization.
