Maeve Records and Red Bull Music Academy are proud to announce a very special Maeve Showcase at District 8 this August 8th. This event will host the best of Irish talent along with some international stars throughout an afternoon, evening and night of top quality electronic music.
Taking to the stage will be Maeve label heads Mano Le Tough, Baikal and The Drifter, eager to bring their ongoing world tour home to Dublin, with some special guests in tow in the form of John Talabot and New Jackson (Live).
An idea originally born out of a shared commitment to release strong contemporary dance floor music, Maeve was founded by two Wicklow natives Mano Le Tough and The Drifter and the mighty Dutch man, Baikal back in 2012. Although still a young label, Maeve's output has become a staple of any discerning DJ's diet, and their roster considered a reliable barometer of class and taste within modern day house music.
To compliment the original trio, the label has called on some special friends to create a proper party in Dublin city centre. John Talabot has become a darling of the Emerald Isle over the past five years, continually selling out club and festival shows alike with his unique Hivern brand of hypnotic house music. Local man New Jackson has also quickly risen to the top of the Irish Electronica elite mainly due to his blistering live hardware performances, a Maeve are most proud to present as part of their Dublin showcase.
Mano Le Tough began his odyssey into house music as a participant at the Red Bull Music Academy in Barcelona back in 2008, so who better to join forces with for this event than the Academy themselves. Long-term curators and incubators of the finest in Irish and international talent, Red Bull Music Academy has been flying the flag of electronic music's cutting-edge for nearly 20 years so its a natural partnership that brings what promises to be a most memorable day to the Irish scene.
