Wolf + Lamb bio.
The game is best when it’s not taken too seriously – a bit of foolishness, on the sly, colors everything about us. House music maestros and hip-hop horticulturalists; desert communitarians and urban nomads; entrepreneurs and autonomous anarchic creators, Jew Hefner & Baby Prince play passionate music that moves hearts, not just feet.
Best known today for his twisted disco alias "Gazeebo", Jon Nedza has been around the dance music block more than a few times since he started djing in the early 90's. If you were a house dj in the early 2000's you may even have bought some of his records under another alias if his "Community Recordings". Like many djs that came out of the NJ/NYC dance scene he was inspired by early house music and it's funk, soul & disco roots as well as hip hop djs such as Red Alert, Kid Capri and Funk Master Flex. This sound is joyfully obvious when you here him play. Long before the term "Edits" became the fast-track for many of today's producers to build a following, Jon was manipulating & dissecting classic disco tracks purely for better playability on the dance floor. The earliest Gazeebo edits are still floating around out there on vinyl. In 2008 the disco maestro launched DiscoEdits.com and shared a decade of work with the rest of the world delivering hundreds of thousands of downloads to countless djs and collectors.
During this time Gazeebo International records was created which showcased original music from Jon and more than 3 dozen top producers around the globe embedding Gazeebo into the fabric of the Nu-Disco scene. Over the years the block party specialist has shared the stage and worked with countless industry professionals such as Oakley, Leftover Salmon, Peter Blick, Ministry Of Sound(London), Biz Markie, Who’s Bad, Karl Denson, Ray Mang, Digital Underground, Scott Hardkiss, Music For Freaks, Peter Kruder, Greyboy, Fabric(London), Horse Meat Disco, In Flagranti, Israel Vibration, Nickodemus, Groove Collective, X-Games, The Revenge, DJ Harvey, Faze Action, Metro Area, DJ Garth, MixMag, Wolf + Lamb, Doc Martin, Wide Spread Panic & Dirty Dozen Brass Band. Today, Jon is still going strong and devoted to the same music that inspired him almost 25 years ago.
