About the Artists:
Working in a genre that’s all about evolution, NYC tech-house DJ/producer Alan Nieves has been doing his share to keep his sound deep, funky and taut. Over the span of top releases for Miguel Bastida's Be One Records and Mario Ochoa's Avenue Recordings, he’s used new technological twists to ensure his music offers maximum dance floor enjoyment. His tracks enjoy steady play over seas in the US, UK, Spain, Italy, Germany, Belgium, and Australia to name a few and have been supported by artists such as Cristian Varela, Siminia Grigoriu, and Dennis Cruz. As a mainstay of the Takeover series, he delivers his distinctive sound to many delighted party goers on a consistent basis.

Combining Mike's West Coast inspired funky house with Ken's East Coast groovy techno bass lines - 'typical.' creates a sound that always gets the dance floor moving. Always high energy, both in their track selection and presence in the booth - the duo pride themselves on playing unpredictable sets which travel through the entire spectrum of house and techno. 2015 has been a big year for them - throwing their own party series in NYC, the launch of a bi-weekly podcast on iTunes (typical. radio), and playing out at Burning Man - marking just a few of the highlights. This is the duo's first time being featured in the Takeover Series.
