Hamburg, Germany, owes much of its reputation as a bustling haven of electronic music to the Adana Twins, a duo that has consistently moved the genre forward. Producers Benni "Take It Easy" Busse and Jan Friso Traas formed up in 2006, immediately garnering attention with an Ed Banger-inspired take on indie-electro. But as the mainstream moved in excessive, aggressive sounds, the Adana Twins took things in a moodier, deeper direction. In 2012 their profile exploded with the release of the singles "Strange" and "Everyday", favored heavily by selectors like A-Trak and Wolf + Lamb. The Adana Twins operate the JEUDI imprint, a bulwark for local Hamburg talent and a breeding ground for grooves that will yet again redefine the international soundscape.
