Very special night delving into the underworld to celebrate UR soldier Nomadico's (aka DJ Dex) new release on his new label Yaxteq (Yaxteq 001), along with surprise guest WV (White Visitation) all the way from Mexico as a part of his US tour. We are also honored to have Santiago Salazar join us once again along with Scott Murakami, sonic curator of Bentwave FM on WNYU Radio, who is coming through all the way from NYC.

Nomadico <Yaxteq/UNDERGROUND RESISTANCE>
Fugitive ID: #061
In 2002, Nomadico left East Los Angeles and journeyed to Detroit to study techno theory with Underground Resistance. Dex’s talent for mixing all forms of funk, latin, jazz, hip-hop, house and techno music into his performances has taken him from his hometown of Los Angeles to clubs and festivals all over the U.S., Latin America, Europe and Asia both as a DJ and a band member of Underground Resistance. His studio work has resulted in remixes and original productions for Underground Resistance, Submerge, Los Hermanos, Transmat, Motech, Nublu Records, Compufunk, Revolve:r, True Type Tracks and ICAN Productions in Los Angeles. His latest release for 2013 is the “Yaxteq EP” for Underground Resistance featuring four original productions of atmospheric, moody and rhythmic techno music. Keep an eye out for his new release on his new label Yaxteq!
WV aka White Visitation <LIES Records News/Opal Tapes/ Blank Slate/Styles Upon Styles/Dog in the Night Records>
Mad magician from Mexico City making a special guest appearance at The Black Lodge on his US tour. Don't sleep.
Santiago Salazar <Historia y Violencia>
Santiago Salazar aka DJ S2 aka Seldom Seen started deejaying in the early '90s inspired by mix tapes his brother was bringing back from the gay underground scene in Los Angeles. His style has always been a mixture of house and techno. After moving to Detroit, Santiago began his music training with Mike Banks, label founder of Underground Resistance. He released his own tracks under monikers like Aztech Sol and Seldom Seen and became a core member of the Los Hermanos and Galaxy 2 Galaxy live bands, using his DJ skills to control the flow and intensity of the live performances. Alongside long time friend Esteban Adame, Santiago recently formed Ican (short for mexican) and released a bunch of highly acclaimed 12"s both on Carl Craigs Planet E imprint as well as ICAN productions.
Scott Murakami <Bentwave FM, NYC>
Following tracks left by fellow West Coast transplants before him, Scott Murakami tunneled his way from LA warehouses to NYC, following sounds emanating from deep below the surface. Currently, Scott broadcasts his findings from the basement residence of WNYU radio as host of Bentwave FM.
