Hangar One Fraser River Raspberry Vodka
For Christmas this year, I wish for a little bit of summer. I’m a big fan of vodka: in particular, vodka and soda. I’ve been on a regular mission to find the best-flavored vodka and have had many disappointments along the way. Usually the flavors are the same: citrus, raspberry, vanilla, and so on, and they always taste cheap and syrupy. Not to mention, before I even drink it the smell alone makes me gag.
However, there is one choice that stands above the rest: Hangar One Fraser River raspberry vodka. Finding this brand required quite the search. Not only is the vodka itself exceptional, it is also infused with Meeker raspberries from the Fraser River Valley in Washington and has no need for any additional sugar or chemicals. The flavor is amazing: fresh, ripe raspberries that are a perfect balance of sweet and tart, and it makes the best vodka-soda I have ever had. The only problem is that Hangar One only makes one batch a year, when the berries are ripe, and it is therefore almost impossible to find. This is why Hangar One’s Fraser River raspberry vodka is topping my Christmas list. I think a bottle–or two–should tide me over until next summer and the rare occurrence that I find this again.
