Novation Introduces Bass Station II
Today, Novation introduced the Bass Station II, a monophonic analog synthesizer based on the company's classic '90s model, Bass Station. Inspired by the original synthesizer, the new Bass Station II is said to be "completely reworked for the 21st Century," and features two analog filters—one modeled after the original unit's filter and a new "Acid" diode ladder filter—two analog oscillators (along with an additional sub oscillator), a pattern-based step sequencer and arpeggiator, and a comprehensive set of analog FX and modulation. The Bass Station II will be available beginning in June for a street price of around $500. Full details of the new synth can be found here, and a video showcasing Novation's 21 years of instrument making—with a few glimpses of the Bass Station II in its final minute—can be found below.
