On Halloween, Nashville producer Myrryrs released his five-song Blood Of A Slave EP, which contains three originals from the anonymous tunesmith along with two remixes. On this rework of the title track, Brooklyn-based producer Obey City (pictured above) takes the tune’s sparse beats and bass and fills in the spaces with dreamy synth arpeggios and extra cut-time percussion. The original song’s low-pitched vocals and bass get the reverse treatment on the remix, having been pitched up and turned into backing vocals and a melody, respectively, before being placed over the top of a newly constructed bassline.
