Yesterday, French record hub Moveltraxx released an extra-large fifth installment of its Da Movelt Posse compilation series, a 24-song volume spanning a variety of styles including footwork, disco house, tropical bass, and more. Here, we have the collection’s first track, a grandiose, footwork-flavored tune remixed by Barcelona-via-Montreal producer Sinjin Hawke. The extravagant original comes via Chicago footwork maestro Boylan, who uses a regal trumpet lick and a chorus of sopranos to provide a melody over backing strings and a juke-style drum track. On the remix, Hawke processes the trumpet sound into something more akin to a traditional synth, makes the vocals a primary focus of the song, and adds a twinkling piano part. You can find the artwork for Da Movelt Posse Episode 5 above, and stream the entire release in full, after the jump.
