It’s been a while since we last heard from budding Irish beatmaker Reid, whose sun-kissed “Miami” tune could be found in our Downloads section as early as last spring. “Wake” is the latest piece Reid has decided to offer up for free; it’s a breezy number that runs through a host of poignant melodies and angelic vocal chops as it swirls around a sonic theme that feels equally contemplative and hopeful. Maybe 2013 will see another proper release from Reid down the line, but for now, we’re happy to serve as the vehicle through which his wistful bits of electronics reach your hard drives.
