San Francisco producer Sorcerer (who also serves as a member of Bay Area trio Shock) released the Island Rescue EP (artwork above) earlier this week, his first solo outing under the name in three years. The EP also serves as the inaugural release from new Diskotopia sub-label A Kind of Presence, which kicks off its run with five slices of sun-kissed dance music, including this club-wise rework from Myakkah. With a heavy kick and snare added beneath the layers of percussion and sprightly melodies, Myakkah adds just the right touch of bass weight to Sorcerer’s Balearic-tinged tune.
