Due out next month, the three-track Magia EP showcases the talents of rising Barcelona resident Cauto, whose subdued take on textural 2-step is likely to turn a few heads. Before that EP drops, though, we are treated to a remix of its title track from Blind Prophet, a Long Island-based producer who also runs the South Fork Sound imprint, which will issue Cauto’s EP on October 4. Blind Prophet’s rework finds the artist refitting the original tune with a healthy dose of heavy percussion and rounded sub frequencies, on top of which the East Coast producer absolutely soaks “Magia” with extra layers of sequenced synths.
