Glasgow-based duo Klient (a.k.a. Mr. Beeb and Fault Lines) recently dropped its Korosu EP via Brooklyn outpost Trouble & Bass, and has passed along the record’s closing cut, “Menel,” to taste. Korosu, when translated from Japanese means “to kill,” which serves as an appropriate description of the aggressively mechanical four-on-the-floor beat that barrels throughout the pair’s track offered here. Comprised of heavy bass waves that churn and roil, “Menel” is a menacing production, but one that still finds a way to incorporate a set of soulful chords and bright percussion into its run. Those interested in hearing the rest of Klient’s recent Korosu EP can find a full stream of the three-track affair after the jump.
