Shine ‘n’ Criss is a freshly launched production outfit and label, which has issued two 12″s so far this year. Citing a love for both dancehall music and techno, the group seeks to explore the possibilities of bringing “a more tropical vibe” to the dub techno structure. To give us a better idea of exactly what they are after, Shine ‘n’ Criss have sent over “Yuh,” a six-plus minute expedition that patiently builds hypnotic patterns from a bouncing, organ-like synth and interwoven layers of detailed percussion.
