The Vancouver-based artist Markus Garcia (a.k.a Heartbeat(s)), formerly one-half of the pioneering “internet aesthetic” duo LOL Boys, has recently released a new EP titled Forever, Violet on newly re-located imprint Loveless Records. Having previously released tracks on 1080p, ASL, My Techno Weighs A Ton, and more, Garcia has continued to hone his production skills which have resulted in an uncompromising and good-natured dancefloor sound.

To help celebrate this new jubilant release, Heartbeat(s) has offered up the EP cut “Eastside” as today’s XLR8R download. Kicking off with swimming and luminous Chicago house chords, the track jumps into a frenzy of bell-like percussion that sprints alongside a sparse, acidic bassline.
