Hailing from Utrecht, DJ-producer Julian Alexander has managed to devise his own blend of stripped down and powerful house music that is making its way to dancefloors far and wide. Alongside his brother/collaborator Samuel Deep, these two proficiently musical siblings have previously released music together via the Dutch imprint Slapfunk, a label that is renowned for its ability to churn out pure and raw house music. Having already seen support from the likes of Raresh, Ricardo Villalobos, and being featured on Babyford’s fabric 85, Julian Alexander is well on his way to becoming a cherished designation among the true house heads of the world.

Having just released his first solo EP on Slapfunk, titled JANC, Alexander has graciously offered up an extra cut that didn’t make the release as today’s XLR8R download. “JANC3” is a modest, aloof, and nostalgic house banger with classic Chicago chords and splashing percussion that is wrapped in an irresistibly warm layer of dust.
