On November 16, Berlin producer and Fuse affiliate Ben Rau will kick off his new vinyl-only imprint, Inkal Music, with Don’t You Know, his latest EP.
Over the years, Rau’s stripped-back, groove-led house music has seen him release on, among others, JusGrooveIt, Body Parts, and Fuse London, as well as becoming a resident DJ for Enzo Siragusa’s Fuse parties. Inkal Music is the logical next step for the fast-rising artist and will focus predominately on his own productions.
Don’t You Know features all the Rau hallmarks across its two tracks, namely robust grooves, swinging percussion, dubbed-out synth work, and trippy atmospheres. Both cuts are aimed squarely at the floor and will be welcome additions to the record bags of lovers of stripped-back house.
Not on the release is “Ride Eternal,” a bonus cut being offered as today’s XLR8R download. Like the tracks on Don’t You Know, “Ride Eternal” is a warped dancefloor weapon that is begging for a big soundsystem.
