The former frontman of now-defunt indie outfit Czars, John Grant has received a remix treatment from Andy Butler’s Hercules & Love Affair project (pictured above). This fresh version takes the original track’s bouncy, sparsely produced disco sound and fleshes it out with a throbbing bassline, claps, and, of course, plenty of cowbell. Butler’s work results in a slice of campy, big-room disco, with enough of a sturdy house undercurrent to give the song plenty of legs in the club. In support of John Grant’s new album, Pale Green Ghosts (out May 14 through Partisan), he will be embarking on a tour of the US and Canada, the dates of which are listed after the jump.
