Fall hasn’t officially started yet, but it’s not too early to start thinking about next year’s releases. The earlybirds of Canadian outfit Data Romance (a.k.a. Ajay Bhattacharyya and Amy Kirkpatrick, pictured above) have already announced their upcoming debut album, Other, which will drop on February 19, 2013, via Canadian label SQE. The duo has also offered a remix of album cut “Caves” from Berlin-based tunesmith Benjamin Damage (who you may remember from his collaborative XLR8R podcast with Doc Daneeka and will soon drop his own record via 50Weapons). “Caves (Benjamin Damage Remix)” starts out with Data Romance’s zooming synths, downtempo piano keys, and earnest vocal melodies weaving about, an emotive milieu which the producer quickly turns into a bass-heavy and shifting beat peppered with Kirkpatrick’s chopped-up singing. You can grab more remixes of “Caves” over on Data Romance’s official website, here.
