Maze Hill is the new collaboration between producer Andy Highmore, vocalist Holly Bestic, and singer/spoken word artist Joshua Idehen (who you may remember from LV‘s XLR8R Pick’d Routes album from last year), who just sent over a remix of its forthcoming debut single by London trio LV. The outfit exercises supreme control on its version of “Long Haul,” keeping Bestic’s and Idehen’s soulful and jazzy vocals wrapped around their collective finger, so to speak, with an exceptionally tight production. Never rigid, the synth melodies shift seamlessly between varying levels of fluidity around the high-stepping beat. The rest of Maze Hill’s four-track Long Haul record will be released on October 29 via Wah Wah 45s.
