In gearing up for the Crossing EP, which producer Rick Grant will release later this month via his own Take label, the British artist has given us “Loper,” an unreleased track that’s been floating around for some time without ever being available as a download—until now. Flirtatious vocal clips dance about in a supremely polished soundscape of punchy drums and plenty of organic percussion. It’s a lot to take in, but both a pulsating bassline and some rascally rewinds help keep Rick Grant’s production consistently exciting.
