Berlin-based DJ-producer Luke Black‘s latest EP, Fish Bone, will land via Tact Recordings on September 2. Comprised of three originals and remixes from label heads Richard Fletcher and Jordan Bruce, the EP is another top-quality edition in Tact’s ever-growing catalog.

Black is in typically fine form on Fish Bone, fusing gritty grooves with deep bass and sharp, off-kilter percussion. On the remix tip, both label heads provide stellar reworks of Black’s originals, beginning first with Bruce’s Yard One project—operated alongside Larry Jones—which twists the title track into a gurgling, aquatic slow burner. Fletcher and his production partner Alex Brown step up next under their Adventures In Daydreams guise, taking Black’s highly atmospheric “400 Rabbits” and refitting it to a more functional dancefloor framework.
