Pulled from the upcoming Beta Cat LP, “Swinger” is a no-nonsense beat by Los Angeles producer (and co-founder of the Team Supreme camp) Great Dane. With his second full-length record set to drop next week via Daddy Kev’s Alpha Pup label, “Swinger” serves as an effective teaser, one which shuns any sort of extraneous frills and instead focuses on the sharp boom-bap of 808s, tight percussion, and the simplest of alternating melodies.
