The two longstanding house artists ignited their collaboration with Shadows Of Your Suns, released on Damian Lazarus' Rebellion imprint, followed by their Grammy-nominated rework of Paul McCartney & Wings "Nineteen Hundred and Eighty Five"—the remix garnered a huge response from fans and collectors, selling over 10,000 copies on vinyl—and remixes for Kidnap Kid, Teleman, and Moby.
The Cuba EP, which features two originals and two remixes by Philpot Records head SoulPhiction, will be the duo's first original material in over 18 months. As is expected from artists of this caliber, Cuba is an intoxicating EP built from jazzy chords, gurgling synths, swinging percussion, and groove-led basslines.
In support of the EP, Rocket & Ponies has offered up SoulPhiction's Dskodub as today's XLR8R download, available via WeTransfer below.
