Next week, L-Vis 1990 and Bok Bok’s Night Slugs label continues its reign atop Next-Level Awesomeness Mountain with the release of Lil Silva‘s Night Skanker EP. The six-track EP finds the young UK producer combining energetic, grime-influenced funky percussion with punchy synth melodies, and the results are spectacular. In advance of the EP’s release, the Night Slugs crew has passed along the first two songs for us to preview on the XLR8R website. And to celebrate the label’s fourth record, they’re throwing another one of those events that make us say, “Why the fuck don’t we live in London?” as Lil Silva, L-Vis 1990, and Bok Bok will be playing and partying alongside Chicago juke master DJ Rashad, Girl Unit, and Jam City.
