Well, JD Twitch’s and JG Wilkes’ highly regarded and sorely missed Optimo party might be long gone, but that doesn’t mean their stellar mixes need to die, too. Just a couple of days ago, the fellas threw together a great collection of acid house for their Radio Magnetic podcast, and we just had to spread the good word. Over on Mixcloud, you can stream the 70-minute DJ set featuring 20 tracks born in dance-music hotbeds across the globe, all produced between 1987 and 2010. On the construction of the mix, the Optimo DJs say, “The mix was recorded using two turntables and a laptop in one take, with some minor editing after the fact.” You can listen to the Acid Eyeful mix below.
