The massive electronic music extravaganza that’s poised to take over Asheville, North Carolina between October 28 and 30, MoogFest, has just announced that minimalist visionary Terry Riley has been added to its enormous lineup. In a press release, the festival states, “Although he has chosen to perform mostly acoustic in recent years, Riley will present a rare concert of his legendary electronic keyboard music, including his remarkable A Rainbow In Curved Air.” The musician/composer will join the likes of Brian Eno, Tangerine Dream, Flying Lotus, The Field, Suicide, Zomby, AraabMuzik, Oneohtrix Point Never, and M83 for a weekend celebrating the impact of Moog on the music world. (Don’t forget that you can also enter to win a pair of passes to MoogFest, here.)
