The Sound Pellegrino imprint has matched up the great minds of New Jersey garage stalwart Todd Edwards and French producer Surkin for a collaborative EP as the third installment of its ongoing Crossover Series. Ahead of its digital release on August 27 (vinyl is out now), we’re treated to a video for “I Want You Back,” which was directed and edited by strange/mysterious Twitter persona @LILINTERNET. “I Want You Back” marks the first time Edwards has used his vocals on a track since he sang on Daft Punk’s “Face To Face,” and he certainly didn’t pull any punches for this one: The video features cuts of the artist crooning to the camera and wandering the boardwalks of New Jersey in a Sound Pellegrino jacket. As with previous installments of Sound Pellegrino’s Crossover Series (which has already featured collaborations between Bok Bok and Tom Trago and Joakim and Bambounou), Edwards and Surkin sat down for an interview, which you can check out , along with the artwork and tracklist for the pair’s EP, below.
