After months of waiting, James Blake has finally released his first official record under his Harmonimix moniker. The 12″ for R&S features two edits of tracks by grime aficionado Trim, both of which we’ve heard before, but Blake has just unveiled a fresh video for the rework of “Confidence Boost” to mark the record’s debut. Both Trim and Blake make cameos in the piece, which matches the producer’s remix in its stripped-down darkness and striking imagery. While the beat hisses and shifts with spacious, moody energy, Trim’s figure emerges from the shadows to spit alien verses and, quite literally, play with fire.
