Coinciding with the release of his Reconstructed compilation, which we talked about in depth a couple of months ago as a part of our Rewind series, DJ Shadow will embark on his “All Basses Covered” tour beginning in December. The tour will reflect the concept behind his recent DJ sets, drawing on material from a potential 60,000 records in his collection. The result is a variety of sounds ranging from hip-hop to dubstep to drum & bass. DJ Shadow’s bass-centric tour begins in Wisconsin, before hitting Chicago, Detroit, Boston, and Brooklyn over the course of a week. The second half of the tour sees stops in New Orleans, Miami, and Atlanta. Finally, on December 29, DJ Shadow will headline the Wintersalt Music Festival outside San Francisco, though the rest of the lineup is yet to be announced.
