Kode9 and Martyn Collaborator Spaceape Drops Free EP

In the past, the vocalist and spoken word poet known as The Spaceape (a.k.a. Stephen Samuel Gordon) has collaborated with a handful of producers, including Martyn and Hyperdub label boss Kode9. With little warning, Gordon has presented an intense solo debut EP, Xorcism, which was inspired by his experience living with a rare form of cancer called Neurolymphomatosis, and offered it up as a free download. The record contains seven brief and otherworldly songs that feature the Spaceape's deadpan verbal flow and backing tracks of jangling, pattering rhythms and wordless monosyllables. You can download Xorcism in exchange for an email address via the player below. (via FACT)
