Seven months after its News From Nowhere album for Warp arrived, London trio Darkstar has revealed plans to follow that release with a pair of remix EPs featuring new productions by the band itself, German house kingpin Motor City Drum Ensemble (pictured above), and the always unpredictable Zomby. The first EP, entitled 01484, will offer Darkstar’s own reimagining of News From Nowhere tracks “Young Hearts” and “Armonica,” while Motor City Drum Ensemble remixes the record’s piano-led slow jam “A Day’s Pay For A Day’s Work.” Though no exact release date or tracklist has been shared for it at this point, the second remix EP, HD7, will again feature Darkstar remixing themselves, in addition to Zomby’s take on one of the album’s tracks. For now, the complete info for the 01484 (which is slated to drop on October 15) can be found below, along with a stream of MCDE’s remix.
