Veteran DJ/producer and acid-house specialist Luke Vibert hasn’t released an album of new solo material since 2011’sToomorrow LP for Ninja Tune, which was issued under his Wagon Christ moniker. Using his given name, Vibert dropped We Hear You via Planet Mu in 2009, and now, he’s set to follow up that record with an LP of all brand-new productions called Ridmik. Said to be influenced by the Nuggetscompilation that Vibert curated from the Bruton Music Library last year, the 11-track album finds the artist dusting off his TB-303 and engaging in “a playground of analogue machines” to make his “wildly out-there… synth-heavy and exotic productions.”
